1 · An ecology of energyWhat we hold, we pay for
Every routine of the body, every held breath, every emotion kept back, costs a little life energy.
Energy comes before form: it gathers, it thins out, it moves. When it can circulate, we recycle it; when it gets stuck, we lose it, and the body carries the trace as tension, fatigue or a posture that no longer fits.
The therapy is a work of personal ecology: noticing where energy leaks, and letting the body find its own economy again.
2 · The fasciaThe web that remembers
The fascia wraps every muscle, organ and bone and links them into one continuous web. Along its lines, the myofascial chains, tension travels far from where it began: a held jaw reaches the pelvis, a guarded shoulder the breath.
Working with the hands and with small guided movements along these lines, the tissue can soften and reorganise. The body becomes more available, and what it was holding can surface and move.
3 · The perceptual fieldHow we sense shapes how we live
Around and through the body there is the space of our perception: where our attention rests, what it avoids, how far it reaches towards others. This perceptual field can be open and mobile, or narrowed and fixed.
When the field is stuck, life energy, breath and emotions get stuck with it.
By becoming aware of it, in sensation, in words and in the relationship with the therapist, the field can move again. Emotions can then be lived at their own rhythm and intensity, without being judged or held back.
4 · IntegrityBody, words, energy and heart together
Integrity here means wholeness: what we feel, what we say, how we hold ourselves and where our energy goes, all pointing the same way. Where they diverge, energy leaks.
- Integrity of the body and its posture
- Integrity of movement and breath
- Integrity of speech
- Integrity of emotion, and of devotion
5 · Origami and therapyTwo branches, one root
BEA · Therapy and Origami Movement share their principles. Origami Movement applies them to movement and posture, to any practice of the body. The therapy applies them to the inner life: the flow of energy, breath and emotions, and the way we meet others.
6 · In daily lifeWhere it is lived
What opens in a session is carried into the simplest acts: breathing, sitting down, walking, feeling, meeting someone. That is where a new sense of the body, the emotions and one’s place takes root.
